Car Bio

My stang I bought brand new april 24, 2007, it started life with me as a plain black mustang GT, the day I brought her home I already had idea's going through my head about what I wanted to do to her. I really liked the concept of the 2005-2009 stang's being loosely based on the 1967 body design, so that's the theme I wanted to keep going. The hoodscoop is an actual piece from a 1969 Cougar Eliminator 429, which took me 5 1/2 hours to modify and reshape to fit the S-197 hood lines. The grille is courtesy of Shelby American products known as the Shelby CS-8 grille insert, for a little more money I also got the PIAA XT-1000 superwhite driving lights as a package deal with the grille. The striping is courtesy of FIRESTORM GRAPHICS in my city, they are unique to my car and my car alone, the stripes are mineral grey with SHADOW lettering in opposing stripes from the front to the back also SHADOW lettering on the fenders below the GT badging on the side of the car. The stripes are a combo of classic ford, with (I hate to admit it) a chevy touch added. Under the hood is a thus far stock 4.6 litre all aluminum modular V8, but I have added a K&N cold air intake system. Also added were a set of radiator shroud extension pieces on either end of the main shroud. Out back hasn't been left alone either, I've added aftermarket courtesy of CDC (classic design concepts) sequential taillights. Inside the interior is stock other then I've swapped out the stock SHAKER 500 head deck for a SHAKER 1000 head deck, also modified are the dash, door and console lights which my good friend and fellow mustang club member Donny Major tore apart the interiors of our respective cars, and painstakingly replaced all the factory green LED's with aftermarket indigo blue LED's. Future plans for mods to my stang include the addition of a STS (squires turbo systems) rear mount twin turbo setup, and the rear quarter panels from a 1969 Boss 302 mustang.

The funniest thing that's happened so far since I've owned my stang, is myself and a bunch of other SECA (Stang Enthusiast Club of Alberta) members were pulled over by the RCMP on the way home from a day trip out of town, apparently someone had reported that there was a bunch of Mustangs driving erratically on the highway. It took 3 police officers to tend to the situation, but fortunately we were all more than willing to cooperate with the police and we were let go with a stern warning about driving properly. Two days later, we heard through a friend in the police department that all our license plate numbers and names had been forwarded to the RCMP detachment in Edmonton, our home city, with a "watch carefully" order. Since then we have tried very hard to behave ourselves. We have picture proof on our Facebook website.
