Heavy Duty TKO. Is your high performance 5.0L Mustang making more power than your stock factory manual transmission can handle? Then you need to upgrade to the Ford Racing Tremec TKO 600 Extra Heavy Duty 5-Speed Manual Transmission. This Tremec TKO replaces the older TR-3550 and has a torque capacity of 600 lbs./ft. making it perfect for high-performance applications.

Built Ford Tough. The Ford Racing Tremec TKO 600 Transmission has a close ratio 1st through 4th gear and is equipped with a 26 spline input shaft and a 31 spline output shaft. It features improved cast iron shift forks, a one-piece counter-shaft, and gears made of 4615 steel which increases torque capacity.

Gear Ratios. 1st 2.87; 2nd 1.90; 3rd 1.34; 4th 1.00; 5th 0.68

Required Upgrades. The Ford Racing Tremec TKO 600 Transmission requires a Ford Racing bellhousing (M-6392-R58), a 31 spline driveshaft yoke (M-4841-A), and a 10.5" clutch disc (M-7550-T302) designed for use with a 26 spline input shaft.

1979-1993 Installation Notes. Installation of the Ford Racing Tremec TKO 600 Transmission in a 1979 to 1993 Mustang will require the use of a Ford Racing M-5059-A crossmember, 1979-1981 will models will require some modifications.

1994-1995 Installation Notes. Installation of the Ford Racing Tremec TKO 600 Transmission in a 1994 to 1995 Mustang will require modifying the vehicle crossmember, lengthening the driveshaft by 0.625'' and the use of Ford Racing clutch fork part# E6ZZ-7515-A.

Application. The Ford Racing Tremec TKO 600 Extra Heavy Duty 5-Speed Manual Transmission is designed for use in the 1979 to 1995 5.0L V8 Mustangs. Can also be used in 4.6L applications when combined with a Ford Racing bellhousing M-6392-M46 and Ford Racing 11" Clutch Kit M-7560-T46.
