G-MAX AS-03. The G-MAX AS-03 is General Tire's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed especially for drivers of high performance vehicles looking for tires that will suit their year-round driving needs. The G-MAX AS-03 is designed to combine ultra high performance handling with all-season traction in dry, wet, and wintry conditions.
Ultra High Performance Handling. Featuring an all-season directional tread design, stable shoulders, independent intermediate blocks and a continuous center rib combined with General's Reactive Contour Technology allows the G-Max AS-03 to react to differing conditions to maintain contact with the road for performance handling and increased treadwear.
Hydroplaning Resistance. The G-Max AS-03's tread design features high void-to-tread ratio and V-shaped sweeping lateral and longitudinal grooves that quickly evacuate water minimizing the risk of hydroplaning and maximizing wet traction. This three-dimensional sipe design also creates pockets throughout the pattern that expose more biting edges to enhance traction in both wet and snowy wintry conditions.
RTM And VAI Indicators. The G-Max AS-03 has a truely unquie tread design in that it has a built-in Replacement Tire Monitor (RTM®) and Visual Alignment Indicators (VAI®) to alert drivers of misalighment and treadwear conditions. The center rib of the tire is molded with the words "Replacement Tire Monitor", as the tire wears the message will change to "Replace Tire" letting you know it is time for new tires. The G-Max also has a VAI warning system of small sipes of varying depths equally positioned around the tire that will indicate uneven wear due to an improper alignment.
