Hey guys, Mike Wilson here with AmericanMuscle.com, today I’m here with the Mustang GT cold air intake kit for the 96-04 Mustang GT. This kit gets rid of your factory restrictive airbox and replaces it with a high flow air filter, and aluminum intake tube, that’ll increase airflow to your Mustang’s engine. This increased airflow is going to give you more horsepower, better throttle response, a deep throaty engine sound, and it’s going to look great under the hood of your Mustang. This cold air intake kit comes with a high flow reusable air filter, the lower intake tube, the upper intake tube, heat shield, and all the hardware. But first, we’re going to make a stock dyno run so we have some baseline horsepower and torque numbers to work from. Stock, our 2000 GT put down 221 horsepower and 260 ft/lbs of torque. We’ve just finished our stock dyno run, so now we’re going to install our cold air intake kit which should take less than an hour’s time using simple hand tools. On 96-01 Mustangs with an intake air temperature sensor, we suggest using a very small amount of lubricant on both the inside of the grommet, and on the outside of the sensor collar, to fit it back into the new tube. If you do not have an IAT sensor, you’ll need to buy a small rubber plug to fill the hole. Even though this is a no tune required intake, we installed one of our 93 octane bama performance race tunes to maximize our power gains. A custom tune from Bama performance adjusts engine parameters to maximize your performance, through optimized air/fuel ratio, spark advance, enhanced throttle response, and for automatics, increased shift firmness, and adjustable shift points. Now let’s make another dyno run, and see what kind of horsepower and torque numbers we get. With our Mustang GT cold air intake kit and a bama performance tune, our car put down 244 horsepower and 289 ft/lbs of torque, with gains as high as 30 horsepower and 50 ft/lbs of torque throughout the curve. The Mustang GT cold air intake kit looks great under the hood of our Mustang, and in under an hour’s time using simple hand tools we got this thing installed and picked up as much as 30 horsepower and 50 ft/lbs of torque throughout the curve, when combined with a bama performance custom tune.... Improves Horsepower. This Cold Air Intake kit completely replaces the stock factory air box and restrictive paper filter element in your 1996-2004 4.6 GT mustang with a high flow filter assembly for a noticeable increase in horsepower and throttle response while filtering out destructive power robbing dust particles. This CAI pulls cooler denser air from inside the inner fender well to make more power that you can feel.

Reusable Filter. Included in this kit is a High Flow reusable air filter. So no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go!

Polished Finish. A Cold Air Intake not only improves horsepower and acceleration, but it also improves your Mustang's under hood appearance with a striking polished aluminum finish. Now you can have the best of both worlds, performance and style.

From start to finish it was a excellent experience. the website was easy to find what parts I needed, the prices were great and they even offered free shipping on the parts I ordered. After the purchase I was given a conformation email to let me know that they received my order and another to let me know it was shipped and the tracking number for my package, I had my order sitting on the porch in three days after the purchase. I cannot tell you what a joy it is to do business with American Muscle. Their sales and customer service departments are always on point, and able to answer my questions with ease.
