NT01. The NT01 is a D.O.T.-compliant dry competition radial designed with the weekend road racer in mind. The compound was developed to provide the best balance of traction, consistency, heat cycle performance and longevity. The NT01 delivers fast and consistent lap times for both the professional road-racer and the track-day enthusiast.
Specialized Race Compound. Nitto uses a special road race compound that balances dry traction, consistency, heat cycle performance, heat resistance and longevity to provide fast and consistent lap times throughout the life of the tire.
Handling Stability. High modulus rayon carcass, steel-reinforced sidewall and the advanced body ply construction combine to increase stability during braking, cornering and straight-aways.
Designed for Competition Road Racing. The NT01's construction design is enhanced for consistency and stability under autocross and road racing conditions. The large, nearly continuous shoulder blocks maximize the surface area contacting the road. This large contact patch increases dry performance while accelerating, braking and cornering.
Caution. The NT-01 meets U.S. DOT requirements, but they are not intended for highway use as the expected miles of wear from their racing tread compound is greatly reduced. The NT-01 is not recommended for driving in wet conditions where there is the risk of hydroplaning. Drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds in these conditions.

NOTE: These are DOT dry competition radial and racing specific compound and tread tires. They are designed to be used during the summer and warm temperature months. For track or drag use, we recommend that they be appropriately "warmed up" before each run.
