Installation Time: 15 Mins

Installation

SR Retro Shift Knob 7904 1

  1. To install our new shift knob we have to first remove our old shift knob. This should look something like the following picture.

  2. To remove the stock shift knob, turn it counter clock wise. Continue to unthread it until it comes off and lay it to the side.
  3. Now thread your 17mm nut onto the shift lever. It will more than likely tighten up after just a few threads. This is normal, just take your 17mm wrench and run it down the threads about an inch or so.
  4. Thread the new shift knob on clockwise. Tighten it down until it bottoms out then back it off until you have it in the position you want with shift pattern showing correctly.
  5. Now tighten the 17mm nut up to the bottom of the shift knob. Hold the shift knob with one hand as you tighten the nut.
  6. It should look like this after you are done tightening it.

  7. Now you can replace your leather boot back up to the bottom of the nut, and the shift knob is complete.
