Anti-Balloon Plate. An anti-ballooning plate helps reinforce the front and rear covers of the torque converter to control expansion due to the extreme fluid pressures developed within the converter by extremely high output engines or by the addition of force induction.
Application. This TCI Street Fighter Torque Converter is specifically designed for use on 1980 to 1993 high performance V8 Mustangs with the AOD automatic transmission.
